Able to offer one stop fertility services for both male and female, covering all aspects of fertility treatments IVF,ICSI,IUI, Intra-uterine insemination, Gamete donations,ovulation induction by tablet or injection,natural cycle monitoring etc. An expert, with over 30 years of experience in treating and managing both primary and secondary infertility in males and females also treating same sex couples .
Speaking various languages including Persian/ Farsi/Arabic/Urdu/Hindi/Bengali/Punjabi and English I am able to offer advise and support for patients seeking fertility treatments abroad and in the UK.
I am also committed in supporting women with a history of recurrent miscarriages and offers continuous support with reassurance scans,medical and emotional support (progesterone,Asprin and Heparin),insertion of cervical suture

Mrs Akbar has been the HFEA person responsible and Fertility Lead Clinician at Luton & Dunstable Hospital since 2008 and is enthusiastically involved in teaching and training, a royal college preceptor for advance training skills modules in Fertility and reproductive Medicine. Mrs Akbar specialises in assisted conception techniques, fertility preserving keyhole surgeries,endometriosis and all aspects of fertility treatments. She also specialises in ultrasoundscanning and counselling. Miss Akbar has special interest in male factor subfertility,implantation failure, poly cystic ovaries/PCOS,Fibroids / blood less myomectomies, adolescent gynaecology.Post reproductive health. Laparoscopic /hysteroscopic surgeries.
A member of BritSPAG (British Society for Paediatric & Adolescent Gynaecology), BFS (British Fertility Society), ESHRE (European Society for Human Reproduction and Embryology and the BMS British Menopause Society.
Mrs Akbar is married to an Architect and they have twin children who are studying medicine.
Mrs Akbar enjoys spending her free time with her family, she also enjoy practising yoga and
enjoy classical music.
She also likes interior designing and travelling.
